PRI Fuel Stabilizer
Longer Lasting Fuel

The quality of our fuel is something that most people take for granted. In the past, fuel would last as much as a year without any ill effects. This meant that the consumer could count on the fuel maintaining its quality at least until it was purchased at the pumps. Today, however this is not the case. One oil company survey reports that more than half of all gasoline sold today is substandard.

One of the major factors involved in poor fuel stability is today's modern fuels. The new so-called "clean" fuels typically deteriorate much faster than fuels made 20 years ago. Another factor is the new efficient processing techniques being used today by fuel refiners. These techniques produce more gasoline per barrel of crude but the fuels produced by these methods are often far less stable and in some cases are out of spec for stability by the time they reach your tank. A third factor is that the quality of the crude oil feedstock going into the refinery tends to change daily with each shipment. Processing equipment must be precisely adjusted to the varied quality of the crude, but this does not always happen. The end result is poorly processed, less stable fuels.
Why should you care about the quality of fuel today? For those of us who drive cars or trucks (which is most of us) the quality of the gas we put into our cars makes a significant difference. Poor quality gas causes undue wear on the engine. It also affects our gas mileage which is important when gas costs between $3 and $4 a gallon.

Not only does fuel quality affect our cars, it affects any other engine we use. If you have a back-up generator to insure you will always have electricity, you need to be able to count on it starting consistently. Approximately 70 percent of all back-up generator failures are fuel related. This is due to heat, moisture and time that starts the oxidative process. Oxidation causes fuel to develop gum, resin and varnish. Fresh fuel can go bad in just a matter of weeks.

There is a good solution to these problems. The solution is to treat your fuel with a high quality fuel preservative. PRI Fuel Stabilizer industrial-grade products are engineered for insuring the stability of diesel, gasoline and kerosene. The original formulas were developed for refineries more than 50 years ago for bulk fuel storage and today, ongoing research has developed optimum formulas that can extend the life of today's modern fuels for years at a time. PRI-D preservative for diesel and PRI-G preservative for gasoline, have also demonstrated their ability to restore stale fuels to a refinery fresh condition. Here are some stories that illustrate the effectiveness of PRI Fuel Stabilizer products.
In one extreme case, a skeptical customer took a 15-year old sample of some very gummy and smelly gasoline from a junkyard car in New Hampshire. He sent the sample to Saybolt Laboratories in Boston for analysis. Predictably, the fuel was completely unusable when test for oxidation stability. A sample of PRI-G was then sent to the Boston laboratory so that the fuel could be treated and re-tested. The lab technician expressed great doubt that the fuel could be restored. A week later, the lab technician called and apologized. PRI-G treatment at normal dose rate (1 once per 16 gallons of fuel) had restored the bad fuel to a refinery fresh specification.

In another extreme case, a diesel back-up generator on a boat would not run on the fuel in its storage tank. The fuel was tested for accelerated stability at an independent laboratory at Port Everglades, Florida. The test determined that the fuel was out of specification by more than fifteen-fold. This fuel was treated with PRI-D at the normal dosage rate (1 ounce per 16 gallons) and re-tested. The PRI-D brought this particularly nasty fuel right back into spec.

The following photos taken of fuel under an electron microscope tell the PRI Fuel Stabilizer story!

UNTREATED "CLEAN" FUEL All fuels form masses of unburnable carbon, gum and varnish during storage and combustion. These agglomerations of carbon, gum and varnish do not completely burn, leaving damaging deposits on engine components while wasting fuel. (3000X magnification)

PRI TREATED FUEL This photo  is of the same fuel treated with PRI. PRI completely prevents the formation of these unburnable materials. With PRI, the fuel stays cleaner and burns more completely - preventing deposits in engines while providing better ignition quality, more power, improved efficiency, and reduced emissions. PRI Treated Fuel

The key to PRI Fuel Stabilizer chemistry is a proprietary enhanced thermal stability chemistry. This unique chemistry is simply not available in the consumer type additives you'll see at auto parts stores and marine and RV supply outfits. Many of these products have been independently tested and not surprisingly, the majority of these stabilizersâ do little or nothing to preserve fuels. Some even make the fuel worse. PRI is the most effective chemistry available in the world today. Additionally, PRI Fuel Stabilizer contains no toxic biocides. But it will eliminate the conditions that lead to algae growth in diesel fuel tanks. If you already have slime from algae, PRI safely dissolves algae and other sludge or gums in your tank, allowing it all to be eliminated during combustion. PRI also prevents tank corrosion.

A large portion of PRI's business is treating the heavy bunkerâ fuel oil consumed by the world's great merchant and cruise shipping companies. PRI's thermal stability chemistry prevents hard carbon deposits from forming on critical engine components, saving these companies hundreds of thousands of dollars annually per year by dramatically reducing engine wear and improving fuel economy.

Save Fuel With PRI- Guaranteed!
With PRI-D for diesel or PRI-G for gasoline, you will achieve the same fuel savings experienced by the industrial clients! Documented, long-term fleet field studies of PRI application on hundreds of vehicles confirm an average fuel economy improvement of 8.8 percent, with individual savings ranging from 5-to-15 percent and more. How? First, the unique thermal stability capabilities of PRI produce more energy value per unit of fuel. Secondly, PRI keeps engines and fuel systems cleaner - operating closer to the original design specification. Fuel injectors provide optimum spray patterns. Fuel delivery systems remain deposit-free. Your engine runs better than ever.

SWITCH TO LESS COSTLY, LOWER OCTANE GAS WITH PRI Fuel Stabilizers !
And if you have been using higher octane grades of gasoline - like 92 octane or 89 octane - our only question is.....why? Instead, use 87 octane gas - but treated with PRI-G. For a lot less money, and great savings, you will get the performance of a higher octane fuel, without the cost. PRI prevents the carbon deposits that can rob your car of efficiency and power - requiring expensive, higher octane grades.

In summary, PRI Fuel Stabilizers will

* Preserves and Restores Fuel Freshness

* Prevents power-robbing carbon fouling

* Enhances performance and economy

* Extends engine life

* Boosts Fuel Efficiency

* Eliminates tank slime and sludge

* Cuts soot from transoms

* Reduces Emissions
